But I use Inkscape for all simpler diagrams and have watched it transform over the years into an increasingly powerful vector graphics program. For creating highly complex diagrams, I still rely on CorelDraw which is far more robust overall. However, when working on large diagrams, comprised of hundreds of objects and many layers, Inkscape would become less responsive and occasionally crash. Inkscape can easily handle small reasonably complex drawings.
